Woodland Bird Walks

Woodland is one of the city’s best places to watch birds. The lush greenery and many secluded spots make it an ideal location for birds to nest and lay their eggs. It is home to both native species and other birds that pass through during their migration. Join us for a 2 hour walk throughout the cemetery looking for seasonal and Ohio native birds. Nature guide Amanda Lawson will conduct the tours and discuss the many species of birds found at Woodland. A pair of binoculars and a camera are all you need. Headstone Cleaning and Restoration Classes

National Aviation Day Tour

This special tour begins with the inventors of powered flight and takes you on a journey of the men and women who helped Dayton grow the air services from WWI to the current Air Force. History, Mystery, Mayhem and Murder Tours

A touch of history with mystery includes the life stories of inventors, bank robbers, counterfeiters and murderers. Please note that this tour may be deemed a strenuous walking tour and is not recommended for children, the elderly or those who may have trouble walking long distances through hilly and uneven grassy areas. |
